KENOSHA, Wis. - The Parkside cross country team traveled to Detroit, Mich. to compete at the Wayne State Warrior Challenge on Saturday. The Rangers were coming in to the meet of a very successful performance at the Lucian Rosa Invitational, which allowed for the men's team to be ranked nationally at #27 coming into this meet. The Rangers held their ground and came away with another successful day.
TEAM RESULTS
On the men's side, #27 Parkside placed third with a score of 81. Northwood won the meet with a score of 59, with Edinboro placing second and scoring 73 points. Finishing behind the Rangers in fourth place was #21 Michigan Tech with 107 points and #29 Wayne State with 113 points.
The women took seventh in their race, scoring 181 points. #19 Wayne State won the meet with 51 points. Rounding out the top five teams were Ferris State (102), Northern Michigan (155), #26 Michigan Tech (158), and Edinboro (164).
WHO LED THE WAY
Katja Baeuerle placed fourth with a time of 21:59.90.
Audrey Amaya finished in 32
nd place with a time of 23:23.30. Rounding out the scoring five for the Rangers were
Emma Meyer (43),
Katherine Sim (56), and
Ella Rondeau (61).
On the men's side,
Ramon Romero led the Rangers with a sixth-place finish and a time of 25:24.10.
Uriah Aili placed eighth with a time of 25:50.50.
Walker Miller placed 17
th, followed by
Grady Davis (20) and
Ellery Pleier (31). Johnathan Nowacki rounded out the front pack for the Rangers in 39
th place.
