CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Parkside men's golf team held onto their overnight 36-hole lead and captured the team championship title on Tuesday at the Country Club of the North, winning the Cedarville Invitational by two strokes over Northwood. The Rangers posted a 54-hole team score of 12-over 876 to sit atop the 10-team field.

It was a balance of one newcomer and four veterans that led the team in the final round on Tuesday. Freshman
Andrew Conrad and senior
Chase Fisk led the team, carding a pair of one-under 71s. Conrad finished the tournament in a tie for second place with a 54-hole cumulative score of two-under. Senior
Steven Sanicki also finished inside the top-ten for the Rangers as he birdied the 18
th hole to shoot 76 on Tuesday, good for a tie for ninth at +3.

Aidan Webster finished their tournaments with a 77s and finished in a tie for 22
nd.
The Rangers held onto their lead from day one, but the team was consistently battling with former GLIAC member Northwood University in the final round. The Timberwolves posted the lowest team score on the day with a 3-over 291, ultimately finishing two shots behind Parkside.
NOTEWORTHY STATS
Parkside led the field in par five scoring with an average of 4.57, with the five Rangers posting 26-under par over the 60 holes. at –26 and 4.57. Down the stretch on Tuesday, all five Rangers birdied the 548-yard, par-5 15
th hole to help propel to the victory. On the par fives, Conrad and Fisk had the second-best score relative to par in the field at 7-under. Webster and
Danny Sanicki were each -5 on the par fives.
The Rangers also led all teams in the field in par three scoring with a cumulative score of +19 and an average of 3.32. Parkside made the most total birdies of any team with 58.
Steven Sanicki was an impressive even par on all par fours throughout the week.

The Rangers will look to repeat their success this coming weekend at the Davenport Fall Invitational in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The tournament will be held at Stoatin Brae Golf Course, the site of many prior GLIAC Golf Championships.
