KENOSHA, Wis. - The Parkside cross country team hosted The Ranger Open on Saturday at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country course. The Rangers used this meet to tune up their racing strategies and learn the course before next weekend's Lucian Rosa Invitational. The two teams
TEAM RESULTS
On the men's side, Parkside dominated with a perfect score of 15, securing the top six individuals in the race. Carthage placed second with a score of 69. Moraine Valley placed third with 77 points.
The women took second in their race, scoring 35 points. The Rangers fell just short of Milwaukee, who won the meet with a team score of 27 points. Carthage placed third with 60 points.
WHO LED THE WAY
Katja Baeuerle remains undefeated at home this season, winning the race with a time of 22:23.62. Parkside alumna
Amanda Johnson placed second, representing The Wisconsin Runner Racing Team.
Audrey Amaya finished second for the Rangers, crossing the finish line in sixth place.
Emma Meyer and
Katherine Sim finished just behind Amaya in eighth and ninth.
Ella Rondeau rounded out the top five for the Rangers in 15
th place.
On the men's side,
Uriah Aili led the Rangers with a 26:23.01 performance to earn his first win of the year.
Ramon Romero placed second with a time of 26:26.1.
Walker Miller placed third, followed swiftly by
Grady Davis and
Ellery Pleier. Johnathan Nowacki rounded out the front pack for the Rangers with a sixth-place finish.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will return to the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course on Saturday, Oct. 8 as they host the Lucian Rosa Invitational. The meet will also be Senior Day and Alumni Day for the program. For more information, visit
