Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Women's Basketball Falls to #13 Grand Valley State on the Road

#13 Grand Valley State 67, Parkside 34
Allendale, Mich. – The Parkside women's basketball team traveled to Grand Valley State to take on the Lakers.  The Rangers looked to avoid the series sweep, as they fell to the Lakers at home back on Dec. 11.  However, the Lakers got out to an early lead, and the Rangers struggled to make a comeback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Grand Valley State got out to a big lead early, as they led 25-10 after the first quarter.  The Lakers continued to dominate, as they outscored the Rangers 19-11 in the second quarter, and increased their lead to 23 points at halftime.  The Rangers kept the scoring closer in the third quarter, only allowing 13 points to be scored by the Lakers.  The Rangers could not work their way back in the fourth, as they fell to the Lakers 67-34.

HEAR FROM COACH JEN CONELY
"Really disappointing loss today at Grand Valley State.  I thought we looked very tentative and were predetermining what we were going to do on offense.  We need to come out stronger and be locked in on Saturday against Davenport."

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 29, as they take on the Davenport Panthers.  The Rangers will return home on Monday, Jan. 31 to face Purdue Northwest.  For information on tickets for all Parkside home events, visit parksiderangers.com/tickets.
