Northwood 85, Parkside 78
KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside women's basketball team returned to De Simone Arena for their first home game of 2022. The Rangers looked to make it two straight wins as they took on the Northwood Timberwolves, who were coming of back to back wins. Although the Rangers kept it close for most of the game, the Timberwolves pulled away late in the second half to get the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers had the lead at the end of the first quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 18-15. The Timberwolves bounced back in the second quarter, taking the lead late. A buzzer-beater three pointer by
Courtney Schoenbeck kept the game within one point, as the Rangers went into the half trailing 41-40. The Timberwolves used a 25-20 third quarter to extend their lead to six heading into the fourth quarter. Despite several chances, the Rangers were unable to gain enough momentum to cut into the lead, and the Timberwolves were up by seven when the final buzzer sounded.
