The Rangers opened GLIAC play on the road against the Northwood Timberwolves. The Parkside offense continued to shine as the Rangers found the back of the net four times in a convincing win over the Timberwolves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Reigning GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week and Kenosha.com Ranger of the Week recipient
Rade Novakovich began his case for another nomination this week with goals in the fifth and the 15
th minutes. The first goal was assisted by redshirt-junior
Nikola Kesich. The second goal scored by Novakovich was assisted by sophomore Edgar Heredia-Victoria. The Timberwolves were able to get on the board in the second half with a goal in the 58
th minute. Senior
Max Ludwig and Novakovich teamed up to get the ball to junior
Marco Fabiano, who found the back of the net in the 62
nd minute. Novakovich continued to shine offensively, as he found redshirt-freshman
Osvaldo Sanchez Arellano for a goal in the 80
th minute.
STATWORTHY
Novakovich has now scored a team-leading six goals this season. He also leads the team in points (17) and shots on goal (11). Ludwig added to his assist total on the year as he now leads the team with eight. Junior goalkeeper
Alexandre Durand tallied four saves on five shots on goal.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE RANGERS
Parkside will be on the road again on Sunday, Sept. 19 for a matchup against Saginaw Valley State. The match will begin at 2 p.m. The Rangers will return home in one week with a match against Davenport on Sept. 24 at noon at Wood Road Field.
