It was a tough day for the Parkside baseball team, as they fell in their doubleheader at Davenport by a combined score of 28-3. The Rangers will look to avoid a series sweep tomorrow at 11 a.m.

GAME 1 RECAP
Davenport took early control of game one, scoring four runs in the first inning off of Parkside starter
Aaron Cusimano. Parkside cut the lead to 4-1 in the top of the fourth on a double from redshirt-senior
Austin Emanuel that scored redshirt-senior
Casey Oliver. Unfortunately, the Panthers paid back that run eleven-fold, scoring 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth to blow the game wide open.

The Green & White added their second run in the top of the sixth on an RBI-double from senior
Dominic Esposito that scored senior
Carlos Arteaga. After 4.1 innings on the mound from Cusimano, sophomore Caden Bronhorst pitched the final 1.2 innings in relief.

GAME 2 RECAP
The Panthers once again grabbed a 4-0 lead at the early stages of the game, this time in the second inning. Parkside scored their lone run in the fourth when Emanuel scored on a wild pitch after singling to get on. The Panthers responded with three runs in the fourth, two in the second, one in the sixth, and two more in the seventh en route to a 12-1 win.

Freshman
Chris Conrad got the start on the bump for the Rangers, going 5.2 innings. Sophomore
Sean Sodaro pitched the final 2.1 innings in relief.

A LOOK AT THE BOX SCORE
Emanuel had a good day offensively for the Green & White, going 3-for-5 with two walks drawn and a run batted in. Redshirt-senior
Nicholas Eisenmenger also had a solid day, finishing 2-for-5 and drawing two walks.

The two teams will square off one final time tomorrow at 11 a.m. It's the final game of the season for the Rangers.
