Wayne State 8, Parkside 1
The last game of the series between the Parkside baseball team and the Wayne State Warriors turned out similar to the first. The Rangers had seven hits compared to the Warriors eight, but fell 8-1.
Â
GAME RECAP
Wayne State grabbed a 2-0 lead, scoring runs in the first and third inning off of Parkside starter
Aaron Cusimano. The Rangers cut the hosts lead in half in the top of the fourth when redshirt-senior
Austin Emanuel walked, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and scored on an RBI double from redshirt-senior
Nicholas Eisenmenger. That score held until the bottom of the sixth when Wayne State scored two runs thanks to a one-out Ranger fielding error.
Â
The Warriors pitching was able to hold down the Green & White offense for the remainder of the game, and added four more runs in the eighth to make it 8-1.
