GAME 2: Lindenwood 9, Parkside 1
The Parkside softball team opened their weekend series on the road against Lindenwood Friday afternoon, but came away with two losses. They'll stay on the road this weekend, facing Maryville on Saturday and Sunday. 

GAME 1 RECAP
The Rangers got an early lead in the first thanks to a single from senior Jess Miklos that turned into a scoring play as sophomore Dani Evans came in to score on a Lions' error. Lindenwood came back and scored eight unanswered runs and Parkside could not get their offense going against the Lions. 

Taylor Delgado went 2-for-3 while Miklos, Morgan Moore, and Maegan Brookins each recorded a hit. Junior Kiley Akey suffered the loss in game one. 

GAME 2 RECAP
Sophomore Taylor Delgado started the fourth inning rally with a double to left field. Miklos brought Delgado in for the Rangers' only run with a single to right field to make it 4-1 Lindenwood. The Lions went on to add one in the fourth, three in the fifth and one in the sixth innings. 

Delgado, Miklos, and Brenna Konstanty each recorded a hit in game two for the Rangers. Tijanne Ross was tagged with the loss.

WHAT'S NEXT
Parkside will travel to Maryville for a doubleheader at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 and finish off the weekend with a single game against the Saints on Sunday, March 7 at 11 am CT.
