Parkside volleyball fell in straight sets to Ferris State for the second straight match on Saturday afternoon. Freshman
Jessica Pappas finished with a career-high 11 kills for the Rangers, who head into the final week of the regular season.

"We're starting to believe in ourselves a little bit more and we're getting more consistent," third year head coach
Leigh Barea said. "We can see glimpses of the levels we can play at and we need to do that consistently. You can't have lulls in this league because every team in our conference is good."
MATCH RECAP
In the first set, the teams battled back and forth until a 6-0 Bulldogs run gave the visiting team a lead they would not surrender. The Rangers got within four in the end, but FSU ended the set winning the final three points.

The second set was back-and-forth throughout, but after holding a 9-8 lead early on, Parkside couldn't get the lead back from the Bulldogs despite being right there. The Rangers trailed 21-19 after a sophomore
Hallie McGuire kill, but FSU took four of the final six points to go up 2-0 in the match.

The third set saw Ferris State jump out to the early 9-5 advantage, with Parkside clawing its way back into the match in the end. The Bulldogs led 23-18, but Parkside used a 5-0 run to tie it up at 23-23. FSU was able to get away with the tough 26-24 win in the third.

Pappas finished with a career-high 11 kills, which led the way for Parkside. McGuire finished with nine while junior
Jazmine Neal had eight and sophomore Reece Rossnagel had seven. Sophomore
Kaylee Kuecker had a team-high 20 digs while sophomore
Alysha Brickl led the team with 19 assists.

As a team, Parkside hit .177 with 42 kills and 19 errors. The Bulldogs finished the match with a hitting percentage of .250, with 40 kills and 11 errors. The Rangers had 7.0 blocks while Ferris State had 6.0. FSU got a big lift in aces, where they led 9-1.
