Women's Soccer Falls to #3 Grand Valley State

#3 Grand Valley State 4, Parkside 0
Friday afternoon gave #3 Grand Valley State a chance to prove their national ranking, and they did just that in a 4-0 win over the Parkside women's soccer team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
With over 80% of the game's possession, the Lakers were able to control the entirety of the contest. They opened the scoring in the 26th minute on a corner that was converted in the middle of the box, and went to the break with a 1-0 lead. It didn't take long for the Lakers to double their lead in the second half, scoring their second in the 54th minute. Before the final whistle Grand Valley State scored two more, and left Kenosha with a 4-0 win.

STATWORTHY
Sophomore keeper Izzy Guyer finished the game with 11 saves, the second highest mark in her career. The Lakers finished the contest with 41 shots, including 15 shots on goal, compared to the Rangers zero. Freshman Riley Fleshner and junior Samantha Nickell both received yellow cards in the game.
