Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Balanced Offense Leads Rangers to Third Straight Win

Parkside 88, Lake Superior State 71
A big third quarter propelled the Parkside women's basketball team to their third straight win, and a series sweep over Lake Superior State. Redshirt-junior Claire Jakaitis led the Rangers with a career-high 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while junior Hannah Plockelman registered a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

DOWN THE STRETCH
Coming out of the break with a one-point lead, the Rangers ripped off a 22-2 run in the first six minutes of the second half. With much of the Lakers defensive attention on junior Alyssa Nelson, multiple Rangers stepped up, including senior Alexis Vaughn who scored 15 of the team's 30 third-quarter points. The run gave the Green & White with a 71-50 lead heading into the final frame, and that proved to be too much to overcome for the visitors.
