Ferris State 87, Parkside 72
The Parkside women's basketball team concluded their weekend road trip with a game against the Ferris State Bulldogs. The Rangers got out to a hot start, but stellar shooting from Ferris State kept the Bulldogs ahead the whole way.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs used a 9-0 run and a 7-3 run to end the first quarter with a 27-21 lead. The teams were equally matched in the second quarter, but the Bulldogs were able to increase their lead to eight points. The Rangers offense came out of the half and outscored the Bulldogs 15-13, but the Bulldogs offense was able to pull away in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
HEAR FROM COACH CONELY
"Tough loss today against a talented Ferris State. We were not locked in defensively for 40 minutes and they made us pay. Offensively, we were able to stay in it, but could not get big defensive stops when we needed to. We will watch film to quickly learn from it and prep for a busy home schedule next week."
