Rangers Fall to Ferris State: Hedman Honored for 1,000th Kill

Ferris State 3, Parkside 0 | 25-21, 25-12, 25-16
The Parkside volleyball team had a tough task trying to slow down Ferris State on Saturday afternoon, a team that has now won 16 straight matches after they took down the Rangers 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Parkside honored senior Rachel Hedman pre-match for hitting career kill number 1,000 last season.

Set 1: Parkside hung tough in the first set with the Bulldogs, holding a 9-8 lead early on and later were tied at 13-13. Ferris State used a quick 4-0 run and the Rangers couldn't regain the lead, dropping the first set 25-21.

Set 2: FSU pulled away early on in the second set, using an 11-2 run to jump out to a 15-5 lead. The Bulldogs didn't led the Rangers back into the set, taking a 2-0 lead in the match.

Set 3: The Rangers hung on to an early lead in the third set at 5-4, but a 7-1 run by the Bulldogs gave the visitors the lead and once again the Rangers couldn't get the run they needed in the end.
