HEAR FROM COACH ZITZKE
"We were pretty resilient today. Both teams had to battle with the conditions today. It was raining pretty good, the surface was wet, and it was very windy. Both teams had a half where they're with the wind, and one half you're against it. I thought we were pretty efficient in the attacking third of the field, especially during the half where the wind was blowing in our favor. We had some nice serves into the box and some nice finishing. It was another good team win."
STATWORTHY
The Rangers win today moves them to 11-3-2 on the year and 8-3-1 in conference play. Saginaw Valley and Davenport ended in a 1-1 draw today, which means that the Rangers and the Davenport Panthers are in a tie for first place in the GLIAC. These final two games of the regular season will be crucial in determining the regular season GLIAC champion. The Rangers still have to face St. Cloud State at home and travel to Northern Michigan. The Panthers must travel to Northwood and Purdue Northwest.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE RANGERS
Parkside will play their last home game of the season against St. Cloud State on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. This game will also be Senior Day, as the Rangers will be recognizing the players who will be graduation this year. For information on tickets, visit parksiderangers.com/tickets.
