Parkside 3, St. Cloud State 0
The Parkside men's soccer team had their Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 31, prior to their match against the St. Cloud State Huskies for their final home match of the season.  The Rangers recognized six members of their program, Alexandre Durand, Simon Eybert, Jorge Garcia, Mason Linehan, Max Ludwig, and Nikola Prpa for their time and commitment to the program.  The Rangers continued to dominate offensively, as they put on a show for their home crowd one last time for the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers offense got on the board early, as Ludwig weaved through five defenders and fired a shot past the Husky keeper for a goal in the 16th minute.  The Rangers added to their lead in the 45th minute as redshirt-junior Dejan Rokvic scored off a pretty pass from redshirt-freshman Osvaldo Sanchez Arellano.  Reshirt-junior Rade Novakovich found the back of the net for the third straight game, as he scored a goal in the 47th minute.  The assist was credited to Ludwig.

HEAR FROM COACH ZITZKE
"Another good game as far as team defense and organization, once again, for the four guys in the back, Alex in goal, and Simon in the middle.  As far as the goals, a beautiful shot by Max on the first one.  The second one really changed the game right before the half, as we were able to go into the half 2-0.  Osvaldo played a beautiful curling ball and it was a great timed run by Dejan for the finish.  Rade then scored to take some pressure off early in the second half.  It was another really good team win."

STATWORTHY
Novakovich earned his 19th goal of the year.  Ludwig picked up goal number seven, as well as assist number 12 on the season.  Rokvic earned his fifth goal of the season.  Sanchez Arellano picked up his third assist of the year.  Durand earned one save in goal as the Rangers defense held the Huskies to one shot on goal.
