Davenport 3, Parkside 1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-19)
The Parkside volleyball team opened a busy weekend on the road at Davenport Friday night, but the Rangers fell 3-1 to the host Panthers. Parkside will face Grand Valley State on Saturday and Ferris State on Sunday.

SET 1: The Panthers jumped out to huge advantage in the first set at 9-1, but later in the set the Rangers used a 6-0 run to bring the score to 20-17. Back-to-back attack errors by the Panthers made it 21-20 DU, but the Panthers rallied to scored four of the last five points and claim the first set.

SET 2: The second set went back-and-forth until the end, where Davenport led 22-21 after an ace. Parkside ripped off the final four points of the set, with kills by
Reese Rossnagel,
Jazmine Neal and
Jessica Pappas and an ace by
Kaylee Kuecker.

SET 3: The Panthers led 14-8 early on in set three and never let the Rangers back into it; they hit .378, the best mark in any set for the home squad.

SET 4: It was a close set throughout, with another Kuecker ace making it a 19-17 Davenport lead. The Panthers ended the match by scoring six of the final eight points to clinch the victory.

Pappas had a team-high 14 kills while Neal had 11 and Rossnagel had 10. Redshirt-senior
