Q&A with Shannon Prince
What are your job responsibilities here at Parkside?
I mainly teach teacher education courses.
 
How did your job responsibilities change during the COVID-19 pandemic?
I had to connect to students virtually and maximize our limited time in class together.
 
What do you like about working at Parkside?
Our students are members of our community and are eager for careers that will propel them to unlimited success. I feel lucky to be a part of that journey.
 
What are some big projects you are working on over the next few months?
We are working on expanding the course options and improving the teacher education program, particularly for special education majors.
 
What are some ways you have filled time during the pandemic?
I make Zoom calls with my friends all over the country. I also got a new cat!
 
What is your alma mater, your degree, and what year you graduated in?
Michigan State University, PhD in Teacher Education in 2019.
 
Any family members you'd like to recognize?
My fur babies Kinney and Maizie.
