Lindenwood 2, Parkside 1
Parkside softball closed out their weekend with a third game against Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon. After taking the first two games of the series, the Rangers fell in a tightly contested third matchup. With the loss, Parkside moves to 8-3 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior
Cassidy Prucha started her first game of the year on the mound, and kicked it off by dealing a scoreless first inning. Lindenwood struck first in the second with a two-hit, one-run inning that gave the Lions the 1-0 lead. The Green & White were able to bring the game to a 1-1 tie in the fourth inning after a one-out RBI double from junior
Alyssa Laxson. The game's deciding run didn't come until the bottom of the sixth inning on a two-out RBI double from Lindenwood's Hanna Porter.

A LOOK AT THE BOX SCORE
Parkside was slightly outhit on the day, 5-to-7, while each team played an errorless game in the field. Laxson was one of five Rangers to register a hit, and was the only one to drive in a run. Senior
Megan Aliverti was another positive for the Parkside offense, going 1-for-2 with a walk. Other Rangers in the hit column were senior
Adrien Hall (1-for-3), freshman
Dani Evans (1-for-3), and freshman
Jadynn Powell (1-for-3).

Prucha, and senior Alyssa McCelland each pitched three innings, and gave up one earned run apiece while only yielding seven hits combined.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will continue their road-trip next weekend in Dahlonega, Ga. as they play Texas A&M – Kingsville three times, and North Georgia twice over the weekend of March 6-8. The GLIAC opener will be next, as they will head to Ashland for a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 18 at 2 & 4 p.m.
