#20 GRAND VALLEY STATE 67, PARKSIDE 57
The Parkside men's basketball team couldn't recover from a slow start Saturday afternoon at De Simone Gymnasium, as No. 20 Grand Valley State handed the Rangers a 67-57 loss. Parkside Athletics would like to thank each and every individual that contributed to the Teddy Bear Toss at halftime, see a video of the Teddy Bear Toss HERE.

HEAR FROM COACH REIGEL
"I thought our effort and competitiveness were where they needed to be tonight," head coach Luke Reigel said. "We just weren't able to put the ball in the basket enough to get the win."

HOW IT HAPPENED
Much like Thursday's game, Parkside started out slow, letting the Lakers take a 10-0 advantage in the opening minutes. Parkside didn't back down however after trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, battling to bring it within nine at the break. In the second half, the Rangers brought it within seven points at the 14:05 mark, but GVSU pushed the lead back to double-digits shortly after. With 3:52 to play, the Rangers brought it within six points after back-to-back triples from Brandon Hau and Ramar Evans, but Parkside couldn't get it to a one possession game for the rest of the way.

A LOOK AT THE BOX SCORE
Three players scored in double-figures for the Rangers, with redshirt-sophomore Brandon Trimble leading the way with 14 points off the bench. Evans finished with 13 and hit three 3-pointers while Hau had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Parkside finished 42-percent from the floor while the Lakers shot 55-percent and went 7-of-15 from beyond the arc. GVSU finished with 20 fast break points while Parkside had three.

WHAT'S NEXT
