KENOSHA, Wis. – This week's VIPS winner presented by Gateway Mortgage is Associate Professor for Business Dr. Peter Knight. Peter has been with Parkside for over 13 years and specializes in Marketing and Sales. Knight was nominated for the VIPS program by men's golf senior James O'Donnell.

Q&A with Peter Knight
What are your job responsibilities here at Parkside?
I manage the sales center and coach the sales team. I teach, research, and was the chair of the Business department from 2013-2020.
How did your job responsibilities change during the COVID-19 pandemic?
It didn't change too much. Just more virtual
What do you like about working at Parkside?
Motivated, hard-working students from all backgrounds who mostly know why they are in College. It's small enough to have a feeling of community, and there's a good mix of urban, suburban and outdoor / county amenities in region. I also enjoy a 5-minute drive from work and living on a lake.
What are some big projects you are working on over the next few months?
Just finishing a very large global study of 4-year graduates working in Sales. Build the Sales Center even stronger, Community and Industry connection.
What are some ways you have filled time during the pandemic?
My dog certainty got a lot more walks as my fitness center was shut for 2 months!
What is your alma mater, your degree, and what year you graduated in?
All in Canada all in Business/Marketing. PhD from Sprott School of Business in Ottawa, Canada.
Any family members you'd like to recognize?
My wife Crystal allows me a clear path to do what I do.

In the real world you can work tirelessly to prepare but if you are confident you have prepared better than anyone else you shouldn't feel pressure.
