The Parkside wrestling team got its first win of the new decade on Saturday night, as the Rangers defeated MSU Moorhead on Senior Night where the team honored Tanner Anthony, Airk Furseth and Pernevlon Sheppard.
 
Furseth earned his 100^th career victory for the Rangers, joining an impressive list of 34 Parkside wrestling alumni.

DUAL RECAP
The duo of junior Joe Arroyo and No. 6 ranked Furseth got Parkside out big to start, as both earned technical falls at 125 and 133, respectively, to put the Rangers up 10-0. Sheppard earned a 10-4 decision at 141, followed by an MSUM pin at 149. Nathan Hensley won in a thrilling sudden victory at 157 and Shane Gantz earned a technical fall at 165. After a Dragons' major decision at 174, Edgar Heredia finished off a 7-2 decision at 184 and Rodsean Graham earned a major decision at 197. The Dragons finished the match with a decision at 285.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will head to the tough NWCA National Duals next weekend, Friday, Jan. 10 and Saturday, Jan. 11 in Louisville, Ky. Parkside will host the Ranger Duals on Saturday, Jan. 18 and has matches against Tiffin, Findlay and St. Cloud State.
