Women's Soccer has Late Rally Fall Short at UIS

Illinois Springfield 3, Parkside 2
A late Alexis Baker goal in the 82' minute brought the Parkside women's soccer team within a goal on Sunday afternoon at Illinois Springfield, but the Prairie Stars were able to hold off the Rangers attempted comeback and preserve the win. Both Baker and senior Victoria Silva each had a goal and an assist for Parkside.

GAME RECAP
Within the first 3:00-minutes of the game, UIS led 2-0 after two very quick goals by Maggie Juhlin. The Rangers answered quickly, as Silva's goal in the 6' minute made it 2-1. Another goal put UIS up 3-1, this one coming in the 12' thanks to Erin Bolskar. The game went scoreless until the 82' minute where the true freshman Baker connected on her first career goal, bringing the score to 3-2 UIS. Silva assisted Baker's goal, making it her first assist of the season. Kaylee Siegel had a shot in the 83' minute, but it sailed wide.
