Parkside women's soccer outshot Concordia-St. Paul, however the Golden Bears took a 2-0 lead less than 10-minutes into the game and held the Rangers scoreless throughout.

GAME RECAP
The first goal hit the back of the Rangers net at 3:54 and brought momentum for the Golden Bears who quickly made the score 2-0 with a goal at the 9' mark. Parkside registered nine shots during the first half, but nothing would get past the CSP goalie.
As the teams entered the second half, they remained equal for the majority of the contest until the 83rd minute. This would be the last goal until the time expired.
STATWORTHY
Although Parkside fell behind early, the team accumulated four more shots than CSP in the first half and finished with 17 while the Golden Bears had 13. The Rangers were led by senior Viktoria Silva who tallied six shots during the match with two on goal followed by junior Delaney Benich with four shots. Senior Adrianna Bratel protected the goal for Parkside in the second half, saving four shots and surrendering one goal. The Golden Bears not only led in score, but also with fouls as the opposing team committed 17 fouls to Parkside's three. The Rangers offense also created two corner kick opportunities while CSP had zero.
WHAT'S NEXT
Parkside closes out the weekend at Upper Iowa on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2:30 p.m. before playing two games at home on Tuesday, Sept. 17 against Winona State at 2 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 21 against Northern Michigan at noon. The game against NMU will be the team's Bark in the Park event where fans are invited to bring their four-legged friends to cheer on the Rangers. All dogs must be on a leash, cleaned up after, and can be asked to leave at anytime.
