UIndy came to Wood Road Field and spoiled the Parkside women's soccer season-opener, as the Greyhounds scored a pair of goals in each half to cruise to the 4-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UIndy took the early lead in the 18
th minute with a goal by Taylor Peck, her first of two in the game. Less than 30-seconds later, the Greyhounds had a 2-0 lead off a penalty kick.

In the second half, UIndy scored goals in the 47
th and 73
rd minute to help the team win their opener.

STATWORTHY
UIndy finished with 21 shots, 11 on goal while the Rangers were led by
Jazmin Castanon with three shots, with one on goal.
Viktoria Silva,
Delaney Benich and
Emma Keaser each added a shot as well for the Rangers, who finished with six as a team.

Freshman goalkeeper
Izzy Guyer had seven saves in her college debut with Parkside. UIndy had five corner kicks while the Rangers had one.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will hit the road for three straight games, first heading to Illinois Springfield on Sunday, Sept. 8 at noon. The Rangers return home on Tuesday, Sept. 17 against Winona State.
