UIndy Spoils Women's Soccer's Season-Opener

INDIANAPOLIS 4, PARKSIDE 0
UIndy came to Wood Road Field and spoiled the Parkside women's soccer season-opener, as the Greyhounds scored a pair of goals in each half to cruise to the 4-0 win.

HEAR FROM COACH NIKOLIC
"Not the start we were hoping for but we're going to learn from this and move forward. We know we didn't play to our potential and we didn't get any breaks but we need to take the game in our hands next time and show a lot more grit. I'm eager to get back on the field Sunday for another go."

HOW IT HAPPENED
UIndy took the early lead in the 18th minute with a goal by Taylor Peck, her first of two in the game. Less than 30-seconds later, the Greyhounds had a 2-0 lead off a penalty kick.

In the second half, UIndy scored goals in the 47th and 73rd minute to help the team win their opener.
