Parkside women's soccer went on the road and shutout Northern Michigan 1-0 Friday afternoon to extend the team's winning streak to four games, the highest winning streak since the 2016 season. Freshman

WINNING STREAK
Parkside's winning streak has reached four games, including back-to-back wins over Northern Michigan in nonconference action. In the four games, the Rangers have two shutouts and are outscoring their opponents 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Baker continued her terrific first year, scoring the Rangers' only goal at the 19' minute mark. It was Baker's team-leading fourth goal of the season, which came unassisted. Parkside defense was stellar, holding the Wildcats without a shot for roughly 30-minutes of game action extending into the second half. Parkside outshot the Wildcats 16-13 and had nine on goal, while holding NMU to five on goal.

Baker finished with a game-high five shots, with four coming on goal.
Maycee Kroening had four shots and two on goal, while
Viktoria Silva and
Delaney Benich, the reigning GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week, each finished with two shots.

Adrianna Bratel, who finished with five saves off the 13 NMU shots.

Parkside will continue nonconference action against another GLIAC opponent in Michigan Tech on Sunday, Sept. 29 with game time slated for 11 a.m. in Houghton, Mich. Parkside welcomes in Saginaw Valley State and Ashland next weekend for Pink Weekend at Parkside.
