Northwood 3, Parkside 2
Parkside volleyball (4-8, 2-2 GLIAC) saw a late comeback fall short at Northwood Friday night, as the Timberwolves took the first two sets followed by back-to-back Parkside wins in the third and fourth. Northwood was able to hold off the Rangers with a 15-6 win in the fifth to claim the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Timberwolves came out hot, winning the first set 25-18 and then taking the second 25-21 to grab a 2-0 lead in the match. In the third set, the teams found themselves tied at 15-15, but Parkside won the next three points and never trailed again in the set. In the fourth set, Parkside jumped out to a 12-2 lead, but Northwood made a comeback and trailed by one at 19-18. The Rangers were able to answer with a 5-0 run and finished the set scoring six of the last seven points. In the fifth set, Northwood held a 7-5 lead and used a 5-0 run to pull away in the end.

Rachel Hedman had a team-high 12 kills while freshman
Lexi Packard and sophomore
Jazmine Neal each had nine. Packard also had 5.0 blocks while
Alysha Brickl led the squad with 23 assists.
Ann Leo had 25 digs as she continues to add on to her career total, which as of last match is the most in Parkside history.

WHAT'S NEXT
It will be a tough match for the Rangers on Saturday, as the team will stay on the road to battle No. 16 Ferris State at 11:30 a.m. Parkside will also travel to No. 6 Lewis on Tuesday night.
