The Rangers second game of the road trip didn't go as planned, as they dropped three straight sets to Ashland. The Eagles were picked in the preseason to finish first in the GLIAC South.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers were on track to take the first set until a 9-3 run from Ashland ended the set with a 25-18 score. Parkside saw little of the lead in the last two sets, which they eventually dropped 25-17 and 25-15. The differences between the two teams were evident in hitting percentage, as Ashland hit .340 while Parkside hit just .130.

Kendall Holmes led the attack for the Rangers with 10 kills. Freshman
Alysha Brickl led the team with 17 assists, while junior
Emma Habisch had 14. Senior
Ann Leo led Parkside with 18 digs, which moves her to 11 digs away from becoming Parkside's all-time digs leader.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers are heading home to take on Purdue Northwest on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. in DeSimone Gymnasium. Following, they will hit the road for a three-game road trip, starting with Northwood on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.
