The Rangers secured their first win of the season over Upper Iowa, taking the game 2-0. Freshman
Alexis Baker led the Parkside attack with two goals on the day, while the defense held tight to record their first shutout of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The scoring opened in the 14
th minute when a long through ball from senior
Kaylee Siegel found Baker, who slotted the ball into the bottom corner. Baker once again found the back of the net in the 40
th minute, doubling the lead for the Rangers.

STATWORTHY
Aside from Baker's two goals, Siegel also registered an assist on the day. Baker led the team in shots with six, four coming on goal, while junior
Delaney Benich registered four, with one on goal. As a team, Parkside had 20 shots compared to Upper Iowa's 15, with ten and four shots on goal respectively. Freshman goalkeeper
Izzy Guyer also had three saves on the day.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers are coming home for a few games and will start by hosting the Winona State Warriors on Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. Parkside second home game of the week will be accompanied by Bark in the Park, when they take on Northern Michigan on Sept. 21 at noon.
