HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite being outshot on the day, the Rangers found a way to take advantage of their opportunities and secure the win. The first big moment of the game came in the middle of the first half, when a diving one-handed save from senior keeper
Adrianna Bratel kept the game at zero-zero. The game remained scoreless for nearly 70 minutes, when a long-range free kick from Siegel snuck past the Warriors keeper and hit the back of the net to see the Rangers take the 1-0 lead. It didn't take long for Parkside to double the lead, when another long-range shot, this time from Benich deflected off a Winona State defender and into the net. The Warriors tried to mount a late comeback, highlighted by a goal in the 87
th minute, but fell short thanks to a stout Parkside defense.
