Parkside hosted the Eagles of Ashland and the visitors combined for 18 hits while holding the Rangers to eight on the day.
Kellie Fenza's home run in the first inning of game one was the only time the Rangers crossed home plate. Ashland took game one 6-1 and won game two 3-0.
GAME 1: Ashland 6, Parkside 1
Ashland jumped out to an early lead as Dayna Denner brought home Camille Poll.
Kellie Fenza responded to the Eagles run with her first home run of the year. Fenza went 2-for-3 with one run, an RBI and a walk.
Jessica Crull had the Rangers only other extra-base hit with a double, she went 2-for-4 in the game. Ashland used a big four-run fourth inning to pull out to the 6-1 lead that they hung on to for the win.

Morgan Moore and
Adrien Hall all tallied a hit in the game.
Kate Czoschke pitched 3.2 innings and
Alyssa McClelland came in for relief, pitching 3.1.
GAME 2: Ashland 3, Parkside 0
Hannah Stroe of Ashland pitched a gem as she struck out eight batters in game two. Stroe, combined with a solid Eagles defense, held the Rangers to no runs on one hit.
Cassie Walek registered the lone hit for Parkside in the bottom of the fourth.
Kiley Akey pitched 5.0 innings for the Rangers before getting hit by a line drive. McClelland came in as relief for the final 2.0 innings.
