Game Recap: Softball |

SVSU Takes Both From Softball on Tuesday

SVSU took both games of Parkside softball's second home doubleheader of the year, winning 14-2 in game one and taking game two 13-1. The Rangers are home this weekend on Saturday and Sunday for a pair of doubleheaders.

GAME 1: SVSU 14, Parkside 2
The Cardinals pounded out 19 hits, while the teams combined for nine errors in the opener. SVSU kept building on the lead throughout the day, and used a six-run seventh inning to pull away.

The Rangers added one in the third and one in the seventh, coming off an Adrien Hall RBI groundout and a RBI fielder's choice, respectively.

While Hall drove in both of the Rangers runs, Fenza went 3-for-4 in the leadoff spot.

GAME 2: SVSU 13, Parkside 1
It was all Cardinals in game two, as they used an 11-run fourth inning to pull away with the big win. The Rangers got a run back in the bottom of the fifth as Morgan Sikon drove in Cassie Walek with an RBI single to right field.

In game two, Morgan Moore went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles while five other Rangers had hits. Parkside gave us two earned runs in game two.

WHAT'S NEXT
Parkside will remain at home for the next 14 straight games, including a pair on Saturday against Ashland and Sunday
