Game Recap: Softball |

Softball Falls to Panthers on the Road

The Rangers gave the Davenport Panthers a run for their money, coming close to win both games, but the Panthers were able to pull away with the series. Kate Czoschke pitched for Parkside in game two and threw her second complete game of the season.

GAME 1: Davenport 7, Parkside 4
Adrien Hall had a bases clearing triple in the top of the third to put the Rangers on the scoreboard followed by a sacrifice fly from Megan Aliverti, which brought Hall home and made it 4-3 Rangers. Parkside controlled the lead until the bottom of the fourth when Davenport had the game-tying run before bringing three more home to win the game.

Alyssa McClelland pitched for 4.1 innings and Kiley Akey and Alyssa Hrncar both came in relief. Hall and Lydia Byrd both went 2-for-3 as four other Rangers also tallied hits in the game. Hall and Aliverti both generated RBI's for Parkside.

GAME 2: Davenport 4, Parkside 3

Kate Czoschke pitched her second complete game of the season with nine hits, four runs and four errors committed by the defense, but a late run by the Panthers gave them the advantage to end game two.

Kellie Fenza went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI along with Morgan Moore who also had two hits on the game. Cassie Walek and Jessica Crull both brought runners home as well.
