HEAR FROM COACH CONELY
"It's always great to get a road win against a regional opponent, said head coach
Jen Conely. "We were really pleased with our offensive performance today! I thought we moved the ball well and had nice offensive balance. Defensively, we were solid in the first half and made them take tough shots. Unfortunately, we lost our intensity and Quincy went on a run. We need to tighten up defensively, especially in the second half, but it was great to see everyone contribute in today's win."
FIRST HALF
The Rangers got off to a good start thanks in part to senior
Taylor Stephen who had 10 points in the first quarter. Hot shooting also aided Parkside early as they shot 9-for-17 from the field in the first quarter, and 5-for-9 from beyond the arc. Early in the second quarter, the teams traded baskets and the Parkside lead stayed around four. Until there was 3:41 left in the half, when the Rangers went on a 12-2 run and grabbed a 45-29 lead going into the break.
