Parkside 3, Upper Iowa 0
With the win, Parkside has now won seven of their last nine contests. Sophomore
Rade Novakovich bagged a hat trick and became the first Ranger to do so since Oct. 22, 2017 when
Leki Prpa did it against William Jewell.

GAME RECAP
Through 20 minutes, neither team were able to separate themselves. It wasn't until the 25
th minute, when Novakovich found the back of the net for his first goal of the day. Parkside and Novakovich weren't finished in the half, as they added a second just two minutes later. The Rangers held on to the lead, and went to the half up 2-0. The opening whistle for the second half came, and again it was under two minutes that the Rangers added another. Novakovich once again put it past the Peacocks keeper off a pass from Prpa, and completed his hat trick.

HEAR FROM COACH ZITZKE
"Good end to the weekend for us, and a nice three goals from
Rade Novakovich," said head coach
Jason Zitzke. "The last couple weeks he's been getting closer and closer and today was kind of his break out game. He seemed pretty comfortable out there and was very clinical in front of the goal, so I'm happy for him."
Â
"Defensively we were very solid," Zitzke continued. "Krenzein, Bruer, Sever, Jorge, Fabiano and Kapaw were all rotating in different positions and did a nice job to get us another shutout."
Â
STATWORTHY
Novakovich's goals give him four on the year, and he is now tied for the second-highest goal total on the team. Prpa was the only other Ranger on the scoresheet with the assist he registered on Parkside's third goal. Another Ranger that led the attack was redshirt-sophomore
Nikola Kesich, who took six shots on the day, with three on goal.
Â
The Green & White were on the front foot the entire game, as they took 25 shots with 12 on goal compared to Upper Iowa's nine shots with two on goal. Parkside also outnumbered Upper Iowa in corners taken, tallying four to the Peacock's two.
