While Parkside led much of the way, Saginaw Valley made a late second half comeback to overcome the Rangers; SVSU outscored Parkside by 15 in the final 8:33 of the ball game. Four Rangers finished in double-figures, including
Brandon Hau who had a career-high 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.Â

FIRST HALF
Parkside started out hot, jumping out to a 7-0 lead and holding the Cardinals scoreless for nearly 4:00 in to the game. SVSU battled back in the middle of the first half, taking its first lead of the game at the 9:37 mark. The host led by as many as four before the Rangers regained the lead and took a 29-26 advantage into the break.

SECOND HALF
The Rangers held the lead for most of the second half, pushing it to a 41-33 advantage 5:00 into the game after a pair of
Joey St. Pierre free throws. Hau hit a triple with 8:33 left to go in the game, putting Parkside up 60-52, but SVSU followed with an 8-0 run to tie it up and eventually took a lead they would not surrender after a 13-3 run. SVSU scored its last six points at the free-throw line, going a perfect 6-for-6.

WHO LED THE WAY
Hau finished with career-highs in points (19) and 3-pointers made (6) while grabbing a team-high five rebounds along with
Chavares Flanigan and
Brandon Trimble. St Pierre finished with 14 points while Trimble had 14 and
Ramar Evans had 10. Flanigan had a team-high five assists.
