MAKE-A-WISH DAY
Today was the Rangers Make-A-Wish Day where honorary team member Raegen Arnold joined Parkside for the match. Raegen walked out with the team and did a ceremonial kick-off to start the game. Raegan was joined by her dad Steve, mom Rebecca, sister Evan and brother Mason.
HOW IT HAPPENED
No. 2 Grand Valley State's offense came out early to score in the 9th minute of play. The Lakers went on to score three additional times in the first half, putting the score to 4-0 at the half.

Chloe Couves played a ball to the feet of sophomore
Delaney Benich who was unmarked at half-field. Benich sprinted the entirety of the Rangers attacking half with no defenders near her and then slotted the ball into the back of the net. This was Benich's third goal of the season. The Lakers scored twice more in the game making the final score 6-1.
STATWORTHY
Grand Valley has only given up one goal all year, outscoring their opponents 35-1 coming into today. Benich's goal today marks the first goal scored on Grand Valley since August 31, throughout eight games.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will remain at home this upcoming weekend to play Northwood on Friday, Oct. 5 at 2:30 p.m. Parkside will then host Ferris State on Sunday, Oct. 7 at noon.
