HOW IT HAPPENED
After a tough first set where the Rangers fell 26-24, Saginaw Valley State, who improved to 11-5 with tonight's win, rolled to a quick 3-0 win with a 25-12 win in set two followed by a 25-20 win in set three. In the first set, the Rangers had it tied up at 23-23, but the Cardinals were able to score two of the final three points and take the first set.
 
STATWORTHY
Lexie Calloway led the team with 11 kills on a team-high 31 attempts while Katie Adams had seven kills and 13 assists. Emma Habisch led the team with 14 assists while Ann Leo had a team-high 13 digs. Parkside finished with 32 kills and hit .077 while the Cardinals had 44 kills and 16 blocks.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will finish the weekend out with a match at Lake Superior State on Saturday at 1 p.m. After a road game at Lewis on Tuesday, Parkside comes back home over the weekend taking on Northern Michigan on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. Michigan Tech will visit DeSimone Gymnasium on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.
