"We didn't start off with the intensity we needed against a quality team like Ashland," head coach
Brittany Nikolic said. "Ultimately, we paid the cost for that."
"We turned it around after halftime, but we must be ready to take the game to the other team from the start on Sunday," Nikolic added.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers earned a corner kick one minute and 45 seconds into play, but after that, Parkside gave up three corner kicks, one which Ashland sent into the back of the net. The Ranger defense was able to hold the Eagles for the rest of the match as the score would remain 1-0 until the final buzzer.
STATWORTHY
Junior goalkeeper
Lara Ferrari tabbed 10 saves on the evening and protected the goal during the Eagles 24 total shots. Parkside had seven shots on goal.
