Parkside Drops Road Game to Quincy 2-1

LATE COMEBACK
Quincy led 2-0 after the first half, with goals in the 22nd minute and the 39th minute. The Rangers battled back and tried to make a comeback in the second half as Stevi Krecak put the Rangers on the board with his first goal of the season in the 75th minute, making it 2-1 Hawks.
 
A LOOK AT THE STATS
Parkside outshot Quincy 15-14 while the Hawks won the corner kicks 7-6. Leki Prpa, who scored a pair of goals in the season-opening win over Upper Iowa on Friday, led the team with six shots while Max Ludwig had three and Reyes Perez had two. Juan Gonzalez played the full game and finished with five saves.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
After the Rangers went 1-1 in the opening weekend with a win over Upper Iowa and this loss to Quincy, the team returns home to Wood Road Field on Thursday, Sept. 6 to battle Illinois-Springfield at noon. The Rangers finish out the weekend at Drury on Sunday.
