Couves Earns Six Shots for Match

HOW IT HAPPENED

The first half of the game, besides the Rangers having six shots to the Michigan Tech's four, ended 0-0. At the 66th minute mark, the Huskies scored from the top of the box, which would remain the only goal of the match.
Senior Chloe Couves stood out for Parkside, totaling six shots, with three of those on goal. Sophomore Delaney Benich added two shots with two on goal along with junior Jazmin Castanon who had two shots as well.  

STATWORTHY

The Rangers tallied 14 shots throughout the game, two more than Michigan Tech, and half were on goal. Parkside totaled six corner kicks in the match. Lara Ferrari earned six saves during this tough-battled match.

REMATCH

Parkside will travel to Michigan Tech in the end of October to compete against the Huskies, this time will be a conference game in the GLIAC for both teams. The game is Oct. 14 at 11 a.m.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Rangers compete at Wood Road Field on Sunday, Sept. 16 against Northern Michigan at noon.
