LIBERTY, Mo. – The Parkside softball team suffered a pair of losses at William Jewell to open the weekend, dropping game one 17-2 and game two 6-3.

Game one was all Cardinals after the Rangers opened up with a run in the first inning off a
Danielle Crockett RBI single. William Jewell scored three in the first, four in the second and third and six in the fourth to end the game. The Rangers were charged with three errors while the Cardinals had 16 hits.
Game two saw William Jewell take the early lead, scoring two in the first and another in the third to own a 3-0 lead after three innings. Parkside made it 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when
Megan Aliverti drilled a two-run single to right field that scored
Jessica Shields and
Allison Hausl. The Cardinals erased that with a three-run fifth inning to pull away with the win.
Shields finished 3-for-4 in the leadoff spot while Hausl went 2-for-3 with two runs in the nine hole.
Kellie Fenza also went 1-for-3 with an RBI while Aliverti had a two-run single.
The Rangers will stay on the road to face Truman State on Sunday, April 22 at noon and 2 p.m.
