In game one, Parkside took an early lead, but a late surge by the Screaming Eagles helped the home team to the win. Parkside put up three runs in the bottom of the second inning off a Max Widmar RBI single and a Paul Weise two-run double, making it 3-0 Rangers.

The teams traded runs in the fourth inning, as Weise drove in his third RBI of the day on an RBI single up the middle, which plated Widmar. With Parkside leading 4-1, USI came back to score three runs in the seventh inning to tie it up and then took a 5-4 lead with a run in the eighth inning. The Rangers bounced back to tie it up 5-5 in the bottom of the eighth, but USI scored the game-winning run in the ninth inning.

Widmar had a huge game at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI while Weise finished 3-for-4 with three RBI and a double. Lovell Chandler went 2-for-5 and Domenic Hammudeh went 2-for-4.

Game two was all USI, as the Screaming Eagles pitching staff held the Rangers to just five hits while the Green & White were charged with seven errors. The Rangers scattered five hits throughout five different players while Troy Bittenbender and Justin Bennet each stole a base.

Parkside will welcome in Bellarmine next weekend for a  four-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
