QUINCY, Ill. – UW- Parkside women's basketball took a tough 62-59 loss on the road to Quincy Thursday night. The Hawks looked to recover from a three-game losing streak as they made a huge comeback in the final quarter outscoring the Rangers by 13 points for the win.

Both teams were off to a great start, trading baskets and tying the game four times in the first half. Parkside led going in the locker room at half, 23-21. Parkside opened up the second half outscoring the Hawks by eight points ending the third quarter 44-34. The Hawks went on a run in the final quarter, battling back to put up 28 points to earn the tough comeback win and stun the Rangers.
Ali Bettencourt led the Rangers with 14 points, two assists and one steal.
Georgie Eishold added eight points, five rebounds, and two steals while
Asiah Lawson added nine points and a block.
With the win, the Hawks improved to 8-15 overall and 4-10 in the GLVC. Anika Webster led the Hawks with a season high 22 points, 10 rebounds, and one steal.
The Rangers will continue on the road for three more games, battling Lewis on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.
