NORTHERN MICHIGAN 72, PARKSIDE 39
After outscoring Northern Michigan 14-12 in the first quarter, it was all Wildcats the rest of the way as NMU outscored the Rangers 60-25 in the final three quarters. 
Asiah Lawson had a season-high 19 points but the Rangers were held to just 25.9-percent from the floor as a team. NMU improved to 9-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in GLIAC play. 
 
FIRST HALF
The Wildcats opened the game on a 6-0 run, but Parkside came back to win the first quarter as both teams went scoreless for the final 2:15 of the first quarter. The second quarter was the difference maker, as NMU started on a 14-0 run and outscored Parkside 18-2 in the quarter, taking a 30-16 lead into halftime.
 
SECOND HALF
Georgie Eishold opened the second half with a triple, but it was all Northern Michigan the rest of the way. The Wildcats had a 25-point lead at the end of the third quarter and held on to the big lead the rest of the way.
 
STAT LEADERS
Lawson led all scorers with 19 points and went 5-of-13 from beyond the arc, but the Rangers struggled shooting the ball as a team, going 7-for-28 from 3-point range and only getting to the free-throw line twice. 
Blair Arthur's streak of double-digit scoring came to an end, as she finished with six points and four rebounds while 
Taylor Stephen and 
Carolina Rahkonen were both held scoreless.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers won't play a GLIAC game again until Jan. 3, but the Rangers will face Green Bay in an exhibition game on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. before heading out to Colorado for a pair of games.
