PINK GAME
Today was the Ranger's Pink Game, where the team played to help bring awareness and to honor those affected by breast cancer. After the game, head coach
Brittany Nikolic and her team honored Theresa Schiffer, mother of Ranger Alum Taylor Schiffer-Jander, who has been affected by breast cancer. The team presented Schiffer with gifts and a signed team picture after the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
No. 14 Ferris State came out of the gates ready to play, scoring off a header within the first six minutes of the game. In the 20th minute, sophomore
Delaney Benich was able to put a slotted ball past the Bulldogs keepers, tying the game. This was Benich's fourth goal was assisted by junior
Jazmin Castanon. Benich has scored in three of the last four matches for the Rangers.

Ferris State scored in the 39th minute, giving them the advantage. Less than a minute later, a handball in the box resulted in a penalty kick against Parkside, putting the Bulldogs up 3-1 at half. Ferris State scored one final time in the 71st minute, and the score would remain 4-1 until the whistle sounded. Â
STATWORTHY
The Bulldogs totaled 25 shots throughout the game, with 13 on goal. Junior goalkeeper
Lara Ferrari had nine saves on the match. The Rangers had five shots during the game with Benich leading with two on goal.
WHAT'S NEXT
Parkside will travel to Northern Michigan on Friday, Oct. 12 at noon. The Rangers will play Michigan Tech on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m.
