PARKSIDE 2, PURDUE NORTHWEST 1
Parkside women's soccer ended the 2018 regular season on a high note, defeating Purdue Northwest 2-1 on the road Friday afternoon. HEAR FROM COACH NIKOLIC
"Great to end the regular season with a win and it's never easy beating a team twice, particularly back-to-back like we had to do here," head coach Brittany Nikolic said. "Both goals, first from Delaney and then Chloe, were great strikes and we hope to see more of that Tuesday in the GLIAC Tournament."

HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute thanks to a goal by Delaney Benich, her sixth of the season which put her in a tie with senior Chloe Couves for the team high at the time. Redshirt-senior Kayleigh Moore assisted the goal. The Rangers took a 1-0 lead into the half before Couves took back the team-lead in goals with her seventh of the season, this one coming in the 71st minute, also assisted by Moore. The Pride, trailing 2-0 at the time, scored a goal in the 78th minute, making it 2-1, but the Green & White's defense held on the rest of the way to preserve the 2-1 victory.

STATWORTHY
The Rangers finished with 14 shots, seven of which were on goal. Couves had six shots, while freshman Kendal Ziel had three. Parkside had five corner kicks and 10 fouls while the Pride had two and eight, respectively. Adrianna Bratel played all 90 minutes in goal for the Rangers, finishing with seven saves.

GLIAC TOURNAMENT
The GLIAC Tournament will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 30 (Quarterfinals), Friday, Nov. 2 (Semifinals) and Sunday, Nov. 4 (Championship). Grand Valley State has locked up the No. 1 seed, but the rest of the field is up for grabs.
