The impressive Ashland squad made quick work of the visiting Rangers, winning in straight sets 25-16, 25-16, 25-17. Ashland improved to 22-5 overall and 12-2 in the GLIAC this season. The Rangers will finish out the weekend against Wayne State on Saturday at 1 p.m.

WHAT HAPPENED
In the first set, the Rangers hung with the Eagles until an 8-0 run ended the match for Ashland. In set two, Parkside again stayed close in the beginning, but a huge run by the Eagles mid-set helped Ashland gain a 2-0 advantage. In set three, Ashland took an early lead and ran with it until the end.Â

As a team, Parkside struggled on offense, hitting .058 throughout the game.
Lexie Calloway, who entered the night top-5 in kills per set in the GLIAC, led the team with nine while
Rachel Hedman had eight and
Katie Adams had six.
Ann Leo led with 14 digs and
Emma Habisch had a team-high 14 assists.Â
