"We weren't dangerous enough today in the final third," head coach
Jason Zitzke said. "We weren't getting results and we got a little impatient."
"Purdue Northwest did a good job of countering and that's how they got their goals," Zitzke added. "They were very organized defensively and we couldn't break that down. We have to bounce back after a tough result."
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pride was able to put themselves on the scoreboard first, with a goal in the 10th minute. Senior
Vic Vera was quick to respond and in the 14th minute, Vera put away his own goal, tying the game.

Purdue Northwest was able to score one final time in the first half making the game 2-1, which it would remain until the clock expired. Â

Burim Huseini lead the Rangers with five shots a piece, followed by junior
Kapaw Htoo with two. Parkside had four corner kicks on the match and tallied 12 fouls.
STANDINGS
Parkside remains in first place in the GLIAC after this weekend, as Saginaw Valley tied their past two matches. The Rangers have a record of 9-4-1.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers return to Wood Road Field to play two games this weekend. Parkside will face Ashland on Friday, Oct. 19 and then Saginaw Valley on Sunday. This will be Senior Day for the Rangers.
