Box Score With five hitters tallying between six and nine kills, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team used a balance attack to sweep Maryville 3-0 on Friday evening.
Sophomore
Leah Fenske (Oconomowoc, Wis.) had a team-high nine kills to lead the Rangers, with junior
Lexie Calloway (Greenfield, Wis.) posting eight, senior
Lexi Turek (Naperville, Ill.) tallied seven, and junior
Elizabeth Mavis (Hartford, Wis.) adding six.
In set one, the Rangers scored seven-straight points to turn a 10-9 deficit into a 16-10 lead and cruised from there to the early lead. Parkside scored the first four points in set two, and the Ranger lead reached as many as six.
After intermission, set three was back and forth with nine lead changes and 13 ties. The Saints went ahead 23-21 late before head coach
Dominic Yoder's squad scored five of the final seven points for the victory.
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team stormed back from down 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, winning the final three sets at USI for a 3-2 road victory (18-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-9). With their second win in as many days, the Rangers improved to 3-1 in conference play.
Junior setter
Katie Adams (Racine, Wis.) led the offense with 29 assists, and she was one of four Rangers with three blocks, joining Turek, Mavis, and Fenske.
Parkside will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, playing at Missouri-St. Louis at 3 PM.Â
